H-2A Program -Agricultural Employers-
The H-2A nonimmigrant program permits foreign workers to perfom temporary / seasonal work for agricultural employers. Workers may be employed from six weeks to ten and one-half months of the year, depending on the job.

Who should apply?
The program was established for agricultural employers or groups of employers who can demonstrate a seasonal or temporary recurring labor need.

Examples:

• Vegetable, fruit growers and other field crop growers
• Hay and grain
• Tobacco and wheat growers
• Livestock operations (Ranches)
• Nurseries
• Tree farms

When should I get everything started?
The H-2A process generally takes 60 days, and there are housing and other program requirements that need to be addressed in advance. (Emergency applications are possible)  Except in emergencies, please contact Labormex Agriculture at least 120 days prior to the date you need workers.
